Imago Relationships International offers two workshops for the general public. The workshops are where the dynamics of Imago Relationship Therapy really come to life. If you've read Getting the Love You Want or Keeping the Love You Find, the workshops will help you to realize many of the concepts from the books in your own relationships.

Workshops are held regularly in the United States and abroad. Gay and lesbian workshops are also held by therapists who regularly work with and are sensitive to gay/lesbian issues. In addition, workshops are conducted to accommodate those couples that are deaf or hard of hearing.

Getting The Love You Want Couples Workshop

This workshop is for you if you want to….

• Make a great relationship better
• Get the most out of a new relationship
• Put the love and joy back into your relationship
• Find out if a difficult relationship can be saved

The Workshop includes lectures, written exercises, guided imagery, and live demonstrations of necessary communication skills and processes. Although couples come together in a large group to hear these presentations, you share only with your partner, as confidentiality and safety is maintained throughout the workshop. A staff of support therapists is available to assist you throughout the workshop.

Keeping The Love You Find Workshop for Singles

The Unique Design of this workshop is appropriate for you...

• if you are single, disillusioned with love and relationships and never quite seem to meet "the right person".
• if you are divorced, and struggling to discover "what went wrong" and "what can I learn from my past" regarding significant relationships.
• if you are widowed, and searching to "begin again" but are not sure how to be in another relationship.

The Workshop includes lectures and guided imagery exercises. There will be written exercises and opportunities to learn new skills in communicating with others. Support therapists will be available to assist you. A high degree of confidentiality and safety is maintained throughout the workshop.

What You Can Expect From Participating in a Singles Workshop:

• Identify your Imago, the fantasy or "ghost partner" that your unconscious mind, which has a hidden agenda of its own, has chosen for you.
• Break from those patterns (both good and bad) in your parents' marriage that you have unknowingly internalized as your only acceptable relationship mode.
