Teaching the World to Love – The Imago International Faculty

It’s been an exciting year of change for the Imago Faculty, who as they began the year last June were deep into the heart of an extensive campaign of promotional tours to recruit therapists. Special recognition goes to Michael Borash whose dedication and long hours were an essential ingredient to their success. Many therapists have started training with us as a result, and hundreds more are in contact with us.

One of the focuses of the faculty this year has been how to make that first step into training easier. We’ve learned that many therapists find it difficult to commit to the 12 days and $2500, without a full understanding of what it will mean to their professional life. So we’re devising a flexible-modular based training, to make it easier to provide short introductory opportunities to start Imago study, and proceed step-by-step through the clinical work. We see training becoming more of a life-journey, where certification is an important milestone, but all are encouraged to continue on the path to clinical excellence.

We had a very significant change in the Faculty leadership too, where our Dean Bruce Crapuchettes stepped aside to enable leadership to be shared by all the faculty members. This led to an exciting faculty collaborative meeting in May, and we will tell you more about that in the July edition of Imago World.

Let’s take a moment to honor the work of Bruce Crapuchettes, who served as Dean of the Faculty over the last two years. He has been a wonderful leader who has helped shape the identity of the faculty, and helped create a strong community of teachers dedicated to finding ways to achieve clinical excellence in our Imago work. Thank you Bruce!
